Carlisle 2022

Enjoyed meeting those that either came by the display or I got to talk to while looking at the row of C bodies. I really loved the SFGT, amazing. Didn't have much time away from the booth, but seemed like the C body showing was pretty strong with some great cars.

I burned up most of my time in the swap, and when I would go back to car, I was giving tours of Tux to fans. I enjoyed telling and showing. I made walk through the c-bodies, but it was very quiet at that time of my walk.
I was able to grab a hot dog from the tent gang. Thank you, I needed it.
Too bad the Imperial group were so far from the C-bodies, but my location was very handy for the swap meet. I was able to get some goodies from @halifaxhops and a few other deals. I always spend 70% of my time in the swap.
Tux did very well, except for bad gas we picked up in Smithport NY at Ninny's minimart. Paid 6$/gallon for premium non ethanol thinking it was a great treat, after a lil while the knocking and rough idle started.
Great trip tho, made it to show and back in one piece Tux and I. 10 hrs to get home.

That Tawny '72 coupe looks like Clark's beauty @Moseman . Any confirmation?

What'cha buy? What'cha buy?

Did anyone score some unobtanium gold this year? Would love to see it.
Didnt find too much this year. Mostly just picking up parts I bought previous to the show.

I did however score a set of the rare '65-'68 power brake clutch pedals!

The real find of the show occured about 4hrs before I arrived on Thursday by another member!

Its tough nowadays when theres 10x the amount of people all lookin for the same things as compared to 5-10 years ago.

I only bought some truck parts, tin grill and filler panel below it, and the A/C controls. Thank God I can finally get rid of that ugly 90+ plastic grill.

Would love to see some more pictures of (especially) Fuselage C-Bodies. Anyone?
Thursday, hotel parking lot. That 1968 NYer was in one of the tents, not on the field. Not a fusie but looks great.

Judging by the picture of the '68 New Yorker, you were staying at the same motel that I was at.

@Big_John In the group photo, I was in the back row wearing the red shirt with the white '66 Newport on it, standing beside @Ripinator .

I will post more later. I haven't sat at my computer since I got home to go through any of my pictures yet.

Small nbr of folks in the photo. There were many c-bodies (Edit: I have added orientations, so that folks who've been to Carlisle can get a sense of the scene). Here are some photos I took, on Friday afternoon:

1. Standing in the middle of row G215, facing East-North-East:

2. Taking a step back, facing West-North-West (surprise surprise, it is my Poppy in both pics):

3. Same WNW perspective as in 2, but moving a few steps forward past my Dodge (the Formals can be seen far in the distance, on the left):

4. Turning around and now looking East-South-East:

5. Same SES perspective as in photo #4, but moving a few steps East so we now have @Ripinator 's well-known 1973 Newport Navajo and 1966 300 in the foreground (this is a "mirror" of photo 1 above):

6. Same SES perspective, now moving past @Ripinator 's cars to get closer to a 1967 Imperial:

7. This photo was taken close to pic #4 above, but it shows both sides of Row G215. One can see that two Navajos graced the event:

8. Here is a close-up of the Navajo owned by @chry73luv , behind a well-known 1970 Fury iii 'vert:

10. Finally, here is a photo at the eastern entrance into Row G215. Up front are two 300 TNT 'verts -- my EB7 blue 1970 up front, and @david hill 's EW1 white 1969 next to it:

That yellow 66 300 in Pic 7 won first in 65-66 Cbody. Doug Miller, Williamsburg Ontario. He does my transmission work. Fireball Automatics. Somewhat famous in SS/AA Hemi racing circles.

AS A SIDE NOTE- I will be posting my own Carlisle picture thread soon. I have ALOT of pictures, maybe 60 or so of them so I figured I would post my own thread on the show. Be on the look out for it soon. I will also post the link on it here when I post it.
