Carlisle Hotel Reservations

You sure do. :) The days before Christmas must have been like hell for you as a child.

Yup. $85 ah day and farz I'm concerned it's worth every dime! I can cover the whole show field up over the hill too and the whole swap field in less then a day. Leavez more time to MT the St. Pauli Cooler and Bench Race with mah Car-Budz! And if you'd walked in my moccasins as many miles as I've traveled in 'um you'd ride too. I brought my own Amigo in '08 but it's ah PITA to transport. I bought a golf cart W/trailer just for Carlisle 'bout 8-10 years ago too and that was the very year that Carlisles insurance company told them to sell the golf cart rental fleet 'cuz they couldn't afford the premimums any more after some idiot ran down a pedestrian at spring Carlisle that year and a law suit insued. And I ain't ah woose, just old and keep gettin' smarter, Jer

You cant do it in a day........ well, you can if you arent looking. I and many others were glad to see the golf carts leave, lazy rich bastards using them with little regard for anyone else.

Polara71. I have a '61 Chrysler "300" T&C with many mods that's being "tweeked" in Reading, Pa. rite now and an '83 plymouth Scamp thats coming together in T-2 form with its own list of mods. Usually if I need a part for either toy I can make a phone call end it's on the way. The issue is becoming that most of the honey holes are drying up around the country because the owners are getting old and dying off and their kids just want the scrap price and what ever the property will bring! Needless to say I've been playing this game pre computer and pre E-bay. Even in that monster of a swap field if I need something I pretty much know the vender that probably has it. Not beating my own chest here, that's just the way it is after 40+ years in the hobby. Carlisle is my social event of the summer and I throughly enjoy it, as I'm sure we all do. I don't want to kill this thread either. Glad we got that Amigo thing streightened out Stan, Jer

This is what I read and what I responded to. The battery in one of those things wont last all day in Carlisle.

99% of us here have been doing this since pre internet days.

I always leave the hill for last. I walk back and forth and then go up one row up the hill at a time.

At the ACN the hill is only show cars and the rock climb. At the spring and fall swaps it is parts and cars for sale... you gotta go up and down quite a bit to see everything
