Christmas present for Wife:

I'm very lucky, we gave up years ago on trying to buy for each other only to be disappointed. We're fortunate to be able to buy most things we want throughout the year so there's seldom anything either one of us want for Christmas anyway. The reduction in stress is our Christmas present to each other.

We're poor.
Why do you think we're in FumBuck County.
A thousand for the lot and another 75 hundred gets you a trailer with it.
Ten if you want a double wide.

But still better than Polk county where the property taxes on either is based on the non-functional cars in the front yard...

Bad idea, It will hurt worse to get hit with a broom then with the dust pan.

I bought my MIL a burial plot last year. I didn't get her a thing this year. When she complains that she didn't get anything from me I'm going to tell her "Well you didn't use the present I bought you last year.."..

I apparently have always been really bad at this. Early 90's I had a girlfriend who, months before Christmas, drug me into a jewelry store and steered the conversation to diamond rings. I didn't have too much trouble with that concept, but the biological need to reproduce isn't programed into men the same way. Her VCR died a little before Christmas... that's what I bought her, a top of the line VCR. A week before she blew out a tire. I put on the spare took it to work and put 4 top line brand new tires on it.

Christmas day she loved everything until she ran out of boxes and no ring. Hell, I always had thought it was a no-no to combine those with another gift giving holiday from the complaining I had heard from women I worked with. During the fight that ensued I pointed out "I bought you four rings they are round and made of rubber and keep your *** safe!"

I was forgiven and remained single for another decade. Took a long time to find a woman with the correct mix of intestinal fortitude and tolerance.

That's a good idea, I just put 4 tires on her car I'm going to buy a card and tell her Merry Christmas she got it early. Now I just need a Birthday present for the 25th also.

You live in Port St. Lucie.... If you are Mets fans -- this is the year to go to a bunch of spring training games --- buy her a Noah Syndegaard jersey, a Matt Harvey jersey, a Jason DeGrom jersey,
and before these young studs become high-priced stars, you have them sign the jerseys and take pictures.... Nice keepsakes -- and they will be worth big bucks down the road....
And you'll have fun doing it.... Buy some official MLB baseballs and have them sign the "sweet spots" while you're there......

And, "Let's go METS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That's a nice suggestion.
