Meh, just adjusting to reality. How much **** do you need to accumulate to be happy.

Understood, I have been struggling with my inner hoarder to figure out what stays and what goes in my garage as well. Dont worry... the Twins are at the top of the stays column.

Maybe put a link to your restoration thread to show people the car's history and the work done to it?

I'm sorry to say that in the back of my head I hear a forum guy barking down the price to $1500.

If it doesn't move Stan, try relisting it for a lower starting bid like $999 with a reserve. The other thing you can try is listing it without a reserve and cancelling the auction if it doesn't go high enough, but when people are interested, much of the bidding takes place in the last 10-30 seconds anyway.

A lower starting price because, reality aside, people want to think they can get something really cheap. Maybe it's human nature.

When I buy anything on there, I always bid at the very end for somewhat the same reason. I throw in my max bid in the last 5-6 seconds instead of leaving it out there for days to be jacked up. If someone's going to bid more, that's life and how a lot of bidding goes on popular items. So don't worry if it has little action for days at a time.

Also - listing it later lets it end later, when more people are home to watch and bid.

BTW, your asking price isn't much more than what I paid for my 300 *before shipping*, and it's a basket case in comparison!

On ebay, you have to start high on a NR item. Just not a number that has people saying that thing about the seller and crack.

Exceptional car, exceptional ad....exceptional owner!

Just telling it like it is.

Wish you could keep it.

Well....I have to plead ignorance here and 'fess up - never sold or bought a car on there. Only my old Farmall and I was the only bidder. Based my comments entirely on other, lesser items as far as price and such. So I have no idea where you have to start a vehicle to make them happy.

I do know that I've seen sellers list items with high starting bids and they list them over and over and over I think because the potential bidders feel more like they're buying and not bidding. If you go that way, maybe you could start at $1999 or $2999 with a Buy It Now option of $5K or such?

Again, I'm clueless as to what you have to do to satisfy ebay's ever-changing requirements. Just throwing ideas at the wall to see if anything sticks. My favorite scientific approach :D

See where she goes now. It's a decent price for a car like that, so maybe it will take off and go.

Very well done and clear ad. Did you have an urge to have the hose in one picture just because?

I guess this car isn't available for FCBO members

Given your notoriety in the C body world, maybe offer to autograph the dash?
You're kinda like Carroll Shelby, just slower, and maybe a tad grouchier.:poke:
