I have what should be a relatively easy question for you C Body experts.

I have a 67 Sport Fury with the 383 4 Barrel Carb setup. It is a true H code so it is the HP motor. Is this designation the Commando or is it a Super Commando? I want to get the decal for the Air Cleaner Can but I want to make sure the one I get is correct.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My knowledge is in the 74-78 Formals. Some of the Slabs experts will let you know.

Beautiful car!

More pictures please.

Both 383s whether 2bbl, or 4bbl are the commando. I haven't seen an acual super commando except for in the available pie pan air cleaner lids.

The 375 HP 440 was the only one listed in the literature as a super commando. All others from 273 to 383 were listed as commando only.

That car is gorgeous! Welcome to the site from the Motor City!, in case I haven't already welcomed you.

Agree. Check here: http://www.hamtramck-historical.com...DataBook/1967/67_Plymouth_Engineering0009.jpg

"Super Commando" was used for the 440 in '67: http://www.hamtramck-historical.com...DataBook/1967/67_Plymouth_Engineering0010.jpg

For '67, the VIN letter H only siginifies the difference between 2 and 4 bbls. In 67, a 4bbl was considered the HP edition.

Thanks! Its a real head turner. The interior looks as good as the exterior...All original too...
