Considering lowering my '68 Newport. Best method?

I would be sad if Stan sells that car and I hope it never happens

I really doubt Stan will let that car go....... There's a story.
And I also think the side of his brain that is good and reasonable will prevail..... And Bittersweet will RISE..... out of the weeds.

Hope he does sell then I would get my 5 % commission for helping him lol ,Serious though ,I wouldn't sell if it was mine I like it the way it sits low and the COLOr yea :yes_no:

I don't think there's a day long enough that Stan would sell his 67 newport. It's a perfect match to his newport he had many moons ago. We're all happy he found exactly what he had been looking for.

I hear you Stan, my Imp is riding low with sagging rear springs and spongy torsion bar isolators but those are off being refurbed and the leaf springs are next so I think I'll be riding at the factory height by spring.

My biggest soft spot is for the '67-'68 Chrysler Fast tops, but damn, I really like your Imperial...AND that frickin interior is the schiznit.

I suppose you got it for $1000 or some s*** on top of it... :poke:

No, I had to give more than that for it, several times but I feel like I did well on it and I'm certain that if I had to sell I'd get more than I have into it at this point.

Give you 20k for the interior and 2k for the car lol

Thanks, Bry. At least not until I'm dying and I'm doing it for the Widow P.

Did you miss my post where I returned to my car and waiting for me was a guy with a rediculous offer and I said 'it is not for sale'?.

And FWIW, I'm kind of sure that a real paint job is in its future. Maybe.
Perhaps.
Kinda sure.
But...

This is what separates us from the other forums.
We have members here, many in fact, that have their pride and joy, that I know they would never sell.
Give a so called self proclaimed A-body guy a chance to break even on his half assed 440 Dart and he'd pimp it in a heartbeat.
We don't do it for the money. It is just not who we are here and that's why I am honored to hang out with youse guyz.

I saw it. I was just making a comment in response to blubber making a comment about you selling it and how I'd feel. tearyeyed.gif

Lowered looks good if it is done right. Only on certain cars too. this is my friends Fury. Im not usually a fan of the big wheel thing. But this car is just 'right'fury.jpg
