Hey Rexus, if you (or anyone else for that matter) are looking for a '58 300D i know where there is a ragtop........needs a full resto. The place i speak of has a ton of chryslers between '55 and '70 and IIRC they had one of every year rag between 56 and 62 plus 2 Desoto rags from the late 50's.

I need to go down there with a camera even though it is really dark in the place they are stored.

It all depends on how far gone that '58 is. I'd sell me two cars to fund the right project.

I can't find the pics I took of the outside of the place abt 1.5 yrs ago when I was down there. There are at least 80 cars outside and 15 inside. I remember 1 plymouth inside, a '65 pace car fury rag, a few desotos, the rest were all chryslers. IIRC he has a '57 and a '58 Desoto rag. They are smart enough to keep most of the rags out of the weather. According to the guy who works there many of the cars were accumulated in the 70's-90's from the Baltimore/DC area and have been sitting since. They supp have titles for some of them and they can be sold for a reasonable price. Problem for me is, I don't think I could afford one of those 57-59 verts even with them needing a full resto!

It is an old egg processing building that used to be part of a farm, I'd say the building is 225' x 28'.

Just looked at it on Google Earth.........very impressive although i am seeing some mid 70's stuff out in the yard.

And usually when I go by there the place is empty Will or i'd be over there more often! Also, it is not officially a business or home so there is no phone # for the place. The guy that was there gave me his bus card but I misplaced it. You guys would go absolutely batty over this place, perhaps we ought to try and set up a field trip over there for the july weekend!

most of the outside was blocked from the road view by high scrub so I couldn't get pics of the larger yard. Maybe 2 months later I stopped and the guy was there, took me inside. i ended up being there over 1.5 hours, unfortunately did not have a camera handy that day. The inside is really dark but even dim light pics are better than no pics.

With the SS Badger - Ludington MI

Cool ........ I've been across Lake Michigan on the SS Badger 3 times. What a great experience.
The last time there was a mechanical problem that delayed the trip for a day. We got a deal on a stateroom on board and stayed there instead of a hotel.

Nice to see the 300 in service too.

Once again I must comment, great thread, I love seeing all the verts. One more post of mine last year, when I drove Goldie for the first time on December 1st. I put 100 miles on her that day, top down heater blowing, not a single tool in the car. She ran flawlessly for me, I think she was just glad to be back in the road after a 32 year slumber.
