I have two 15” steel rims that have numbers and letters stamped on them. Could someone tell me what they mean? K2/4, 4, M, and then F. Thanks

Plant year and specs stamping.

presuming from previous experience.....

K2. Kelsey Hayes plant 2
4 calendar year 64? 74?

April date code?

M and F .....don’t know. Likely wheel width designation or load rating.

Are there more markings inside of the rim?

For "M" and "F", possibly inspection stamps for various parameters, where a normal paint daub would not do? "Stamps" rather than daubs, considering the somewhat temporary nature of paint and the high importance of wheels to vehicle safety?

Just some thoughts,

You can climb K2 on April 4, as long as it is either a Monday or a Friday.

Thanks for the replies 69coronetRT and CBODY67, these tires and rims came off my ‘74 dodge club cab I had a long time ago. They were the summer tires for the truck so they are in excellent condition, if I cleaned them they would probably still look like new.
I didn’t see any other markings on the rim, but they still have the Goodyear extra load tires on them, so I was wondering if the rim stampings would tell me if the rims were HD also,
