Well, went to get the last fitting for the reinstall of the trans cooler today and at the parts house trying to take the old fitting out,..this happens. Dammit. Now I have to find someone to weld this....it's aluminum!!!! The fitting looks like it was pressed in with some type of glue/sealer used to hold the nut to the tubing. I would just go buy a new cooler, but the one I have is super heavy duty with 1/2 tubing and was around $200. Always something. Not a happy camper today.

Myself? I wouldn't trust the rest of the cooler ever again.
That's the cheapest work I have ever seen in my life.

I agree with commando1, if something as important as the fitting for the line came apart I wouldn't trust the rest of the cooler. what brand is it so the rest of wont buy one?

Sad thing is even the detroit cars have a lot of panels glued into place now like many of the GM products i see now have firewalls glued in.
