Cross Ram intake

Let’s all get on the same page with the terminology.

Those beautiful intakes pictured above are called Long Rams. They came on 1960 and 1961 361 and 383 Dodge and Plymouth’s, and 413 Chrysler 300’s. The 361/383 and 413 intakes are identical with the same part numbers.

below is a picture of a cross ram intake, it is one piece and just like any one piece intake the pay are different for 383 and 413, or B and RB engines.

for those that want to say this is anal. No, this is correctly identifying what we are talking about. Thanks!

Just a side note to any fuel related installation. Hard plumb as much as you can. I'm not a believer in rubber hose. I use it to " mock" up installations and then bend the appropriate fuel line to complete the project. And remember to install the nut before making the flare....

Please post a few pics of the whole car. That preview engine pic is great, the rest of the car has to be greaterer...

How about the Offenhauser 5206 intake? I have a matching pair of Holleys that can go onto it, but not sure if it is compatible with a 64/65 413 engine. Finding the linkages is going to be another pain in the ***, but that's what Google is for.

I'm dreaming of a sleeper build, just need some good resonators on the back to tune the sound.

The "long ram" that I was looking at has cracks that need substantial repairs and I don't want to mess with it.

This should be the EZ Button solution if you want dual quads on an RB without cutting a hole in the hood.

That's not bad at all, I know fans of each brand rave about performance from "their" brand. I already have the carbs so I'm hoping just getting an intake, but I might sell them instead and buy a kit like this.
Factory cast iron intakes are fairly plentiful and can be had reasonably. This is for a "B" engine.

Hey Scott, those are aluminum max wedge heads next to the intake. I'll get another picture or two...

Saw this in one of my searches, then remembered this post, long/short I'don know as these are NOT MINE!

You may wanna have your eyes on Craigslist. This one is fresh and I won't post it up in the for sale section here, only here is where you'll see it.
