The car is worth a walk around. Still available

With 4 guys lined up to see it and still a "no sale", what is wrong with it besides the title issue? The price is right, and it looks nice. It must have some rust or what?

The vendor told over the phone to someone I know, that "a guy from California offered more than he was asking, and is flying over tomorrow to get the car." - That "tomorrow" would be Friday the 4th of Sept.

I sure hope the buyer is someone from our forum, and that we get to see more of it. I could have made something of this car. It was priced at the correct level to begin a thorough resto. That car definitely deserves it. Even without the U-code, console, or many power options. It was that nice.

I think the seller is overstating what the possible buyer said. No one would fly from California to buy a $3000 car.

Saforwardlook: I sure hope you're right. That way we (me & my bro) would still be in the game.

So the issue for you is the title I would assume? If not, why have you not bought it yet?

The " buyer from california" offered him an extra $1000.00 sight unseen. He was going to wire the money and arrange transport without coming to maine. After I declined the car it sounded like it was a definite.
He really wants the car to stay in the USA. He is a very good guy, and in noway needs the money.
He also has been bombarded with people who tell him rig h t up front they intend to use the driveline in something else and part the rest.
The reason I declined the car is it is a much bigger project than I want right now. I already have a car I like much more, and looking at this one was good for my Fury. I will share details with members who PM me.

He gave me a very clear and accurate description of the car over the phone. He does not need the money, he hopes the car goes to someone who will restore and enjoy. He bought that car strictly for a three day ride ro rake his mother on because she was falling I'll and it reminded her of the cars his dad always owned.
As a side note, he had 280 antique classics at one time that have all, except for about 15, have been donated to museums.
Lastly, worth the trip to see his R/T coronet with under 30,000 miles. Wow!

And drive home in a car that's been sitting for years....

I did not. He didn't uncover it completely and in a dark garage. Ted with black stripe and ALL the trim shining brightly. It's the first car he ever bought in his life and has never seen rain, except through the garage windows. He said he always knew it was special.
Super commando 4/speed.

Did you get any pics of the Coronet R/T?
