NOT MINE Definitely not mine, but I can dream - 300 Hurst convertible

George Hurst should've asked for them to put a 426 in it, apparently one 300-Hurst was built that way (dealer had it done).

I suspect the price tag is north of 100K if they may trade for either a 1969 Dodge Daytona or 1965 Shelby.
I would assume so too… WAAAY north. I just don’t understand why you would want to get rid of such a rare 1 of 1 car that NOBODY else has to get something else like the Daytona or Shelby…. Now I’m sad :(

I found the other one.

Geeeezz with all the pictures of the car with the girls in them you would think for what'eva the price is the 'Harem' would be included! <not 1 engine bay pic>

Although at her age I don't really think I could get excited. <ducks> (is she still alive?)

I do find it strange too that there is no engine picture, or especially fender tag picture in the ad… but maybe (and hopefully) those will come with time. Here is one from a video on youtube of it…..

Im surprised it has 90k miles on it.
Think about it and they drove this car all over the USA from 1970 to 1972 or 73. No trailers... just one of the Hurst employees got behind the wheel and drove it to the next big event. It was just another car being used to promote Hurst.

I find it kind of surprising that there is only 90k miles on it.

Good point John, disregard my post below then I suppose.

I kind of am too, but kind of not since it was just a parade and lap car and it sounds like it was not used that much. I’m sure and hope Trev can tell us more.

We haven't seen much of this one in a while, I guess the Fury GT 6 barrel has taken all his attention. I really hope it doesn't disappear into someone's collection never to be seen in public again, I missed it back when it was at Carlisle. To be traded for a Ford or a "wing thing" doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but whatever make one happy is all that matters. Good luck with the sale!

I can see the desire to want this car. The problem is it is the only one. If anything ever happened to it how could you live with yourself? I certainly couldn't. What do you do with it, drive it? Its a lot of money to be tied down. A wing car & the Ford is an easy sale if he ever decides to move on with those.

Its all in the eye of the beer holder...
Many of the high end collectors are so wealthy that the percentage of there discretionary spending scales to the equivalent of a regular guy buying a $500 beater.

I remember, and Im sure others will as well. Back when a guy bought one of the convertible hemi cudas. He told the story when interviewed about when he restored an AAR that he could afford it when he built it and was too terrified of it getting damaged to drive it. Ultimately he sold it to raise money to start a business.

When he came to the auction as a wealthy man he said he didn't regret selling the car to start his business but he regretted not driving the AAR. he said him and his wife were driving the Cuda home cross country from the auction .

It costs the same to fix as the plane Jane car if it gets banged up... I would drive it a fair bit.
