We have lots of '67-'68 Chrysler parts and also a '68 shop manual (a mechanic's best tool) for sale if you are interested. Very reasonably priced on everything as we no longer have cars that the parts go with. We have a few rust-free pieces of sheet metal as well. You can send me a PM if you are looking for anything.

It's just a personal preference. I like both but want mine to be just all painted and one color. Here's an example of one of the options I'm looking at as far as paint. I'm not worrying about keeping it original because I don't ever plan on selling it and don't really care what they're worth I just want it cherry for myself so I can keep it forever!

Elwood Engel, designer of these cars, was very unhappy with the number of them that left the factory with vinyl tops. His intention was that the fasttops be free of vinyl, but was overridden by corporate brass due to vinyl's popularity and the extra money it added to the bottom line.

Depending on color, I usually prefer fasttops without the vinyl. The problem with the conversion is that the non-vinyl lower rear window trim can be tough to find. The trim itself is pretty basic, so there's probably something out there that could be used as a substitute.
