Was put in put yard when inspiration hit me....news at 11...
"Borrowed" a few stands from work...you can see the height difference between them and a Jack stand..

Some ideas even work. I have 29 inches to the unibody..
It's been a Hell of a few months around here....that I can assure...
Anyway, things are slowing down finally...my upholsterer informed me of my original police package HD seat frames rot.
So what now? I spent the last few months attempting to source another...to No avail...So here we are...
The black frame is the spare (original) front bench from my 70. I peeled it apart last night.
My discoveries are this, for C bodies, there is only one basic bench seat frame. From there things are added.
In the case of a sedan, they bolt the seat back into the threaded inserts, in the case of a coupe, they weld the rods for the pivots and latches, and the brackets on the center for the armrest.
The HD seat frame does have extra springs which I will need to remove and install into the new seat frame...
Does any of this matter to anyone? Nope. It will never be seen. But I will know it is not correct...
