Installed New:
Battery & Connectors
50 Amp Alternator
Ballast Resistor
Voltage Regulator
Coil

The distributor and wires are in good shape; I just need to finally get that hotter set of plugs since the misfire is back. I also found out that my replacement wiper motor is the wrong one. :BangHead: (The one I got with a complete 73 Dash and a Rim w/Tire for $200)

In other news, Federated found the Oil, Fuel, and Air Filter for our 59 Caddy. :stickdance:

Damn, and I have to wash mine ......... I wish I could get out there and turn some wrenches, good for you!!

Everytime I open it up I see more jury rigging from the previous owner. I found out the wire from the primary side of the Alternator had been moved and put in the wrong place. Therefore, I've yet to have had a charging system since I bought it. (I'm glad I was told "The battery is weak" and have been snapping my little .5 Amp charger on it and luckily never took too long of a trip.) Not that it would have made a difference since the alternator was also dead (knowledge courtesy of Autozone testing).

So, the alternator definitely needed replaced since it was dead. The battery since it sucked anyway. The connectors b/c they were crumbling. Regulator and Coil were to stop the miss, but it's still there.

TO THE PLUGS! (and to tighten my squeaking alternator belt)

Yup, but my amp meter still doesn't work. I should have gotten a new thermostat too, since mine is cooked open. I do that and I should finally have a Temp Guage.

Hmmm, or I might prod Dad into us getting the new starter solenoid in the Caddy. I'd be equally happy to see Cindy up and running as my Fury without a miss.

I kicked the Chevy out from the dry awning and as soon as Mom leaves for work and I have some driveway space the Fury will have the dry spot and I can start pulling rear seats.

The Fury takes it rightful spot:

Under the seat I found an empty pack of Marlboros, a 74 Date Stamped Dime, the ground plate for the jack, and the build sheet.

Looks rust free!!!!
It has a couple spots, moreso on the other side. Apparently the rear panel was so bad at one point that it was sawed off.

Nice, get the vacuum out and start cleaning
That is part of the reason it has the awning now. It was under a tree before and neither the tree nor birds had any mercy on it.

Off to see if the Caddy will start with a fresh Coil.

Not under a tree.... worst place in the world for an undriven car. Might as well drive it into the ocean

Sweet and really nice car Theo .. looks like it's in great conidtion

Mom has now claimed the awning for her car :BangHead:

Anyway, I'm gone at Boys State this week. Catch you all on Sunday!

Boys State sounds like a juvenile detention center, is that because you tried to steal your mom's parking spot???

Boy's State.
At least in prison you have a chance if you work in the cafeteria and dole out the portions.

Before this gets any weirder...

I went to make sure everything was a-ok on the fury this morning before relying on it later tonight and I have completely no spark. It ran fine when I left a week ago and fine yesterday. Nothing today.
