Diff Tag

Hello, my 1973 Plymouth Fury 3 has a rear diff tag that has on it 2.71 then under that it has i believe 4 32
Does anyone have that tag?

Yes mine has on it 2.17 then under that it has 4 32

Your rear gear ratio is 2.71. The 4 32 is most likely a date

Maybe the 4 32 is some kind of production code?

Hi Thank You for your response. I talked to a man in Detroit and he told me the 4 32 would be the pinion gear. I don't know much about rear ends.
