You never mentioned that you removed wire from the cap and why, what happened there?

I rebuilt the original dual point distributor with all new parts including cap and rotor. I posted a thread about that somewhere.
The engine was down for a valve job.

I took the Polara out and drove around town today. Runs great. I'm headed over to Mississippi for cruising the coast in a week or so.
