Dodge big trucks

This cab over was given to the Pettys in 1970. In 1975 they where given a Dodge tractor & enclosed trailer & this Was Then sold to Buddy Arrington

Here is the same truck today. Buddy Arrington still owns it & it's sitting in his shop near Martinsville, Va Buddy added the red stripe

And another pic of the Dodge cab over after Arrington bought it. He left the STP logo on it for years. Notice the red stripe on it now

They eventually had two Dodge road tractors. You can see the other one in the background. This was taken at the Petty complex at Level Cross

There's something brutally honest about those cabovers.
A rudimentary tin can perched on a frame.
All the crudeness of a Trabant and the luxury accommodations of a jail cell.
 
IMHO, a "big truck" requires a Class A license to be driven. :p
But it doesn't mean I wouldn't love that big pickup as part of my fleet. :D
Unfortunately, I'm willing to bet that truck will never see so much as a load of mulch.
 
The cab/sleeper of a IHC Transtar II is a tinny cold place at 3am in late fall kind of like a jail cell just not as square.
