Don't know why this is so difficult. Can't you just take a part down to a good paint store and they will use a spectrometer ?? to mix the correct color? I have had these for over 25 years left over from a case. Seems to be the correct color. CG

Those cans there are the right color. Not long after you bought those, the can changed along with the color inside. It is way more effort to go to a paint supply house, have them match it, mix it up, and then put it in spray cans than it is to go to the parts store and get the correct color off of the shelf and walk out in a few minutes. It just sucks that a person needs to expend such effort to get the correct color of engine paint.

Well, with all due respect, I think that is the issue. After following all the posts over the years about engine color and looking at a lot of the examples that members have shown, it doesn't look like you can buy the correct color off of the shelf. A lot of guys I know who are restoring a car will spend years and big $ trying to find a numbers matching, date correct screw (LOL) that is hidden behind the dash, but have no issue painting the engine block some kind of aqua or teal green/blue (ish) color. BTW, I have a couple of full cans left of this, and have to pay for my kid's braces next month. $900 OBO. CG

Yes, this issue is that you can’t get the right paint from any of the readily available prepackaged paint providers. It’s a PITA that a person must go to a restoration supplier or an automotive paint supply to get something in the neighborhood of correct. I’m not a nut n bolt rotisserie resto guy, but it bothers me to have an engine the wrong color for the era of car. It really sucks that even Mopar screwed it up, you think they could keep it right.

I was just told this morning that the color is still a hot topic with the 300 club and there was going to be some comparisons between different vendors/colors at their Omaha meet this weekend. BTW, I'm also told that the Bill Hirsch stuff is no longer available in spray cans, so that is a factor.

Duplicolor DE1619 is the replacement color. I have not used it.

JB tools say they have international shipping but don't ship paint for some reason?
Great price at $7.40 but can't send to the UK...
