early Sunday morning exercise run...and pics.

The subject came up in another thread about driving and enjoying our cars...relatively incognito.
I mentioned that I have exercising my cars early on Sunday mornings...out in the country, and someone else chimed in that they do that as well.
Today was the first Sunday I've been home and the weather was good this year, so I took the '69 Fury out for it's first drive of the year this morning, and found this little store for a backdrop pic.
Anyone else doing this today? Let's post some pics in this thread. Such a relaxing way to start a Sunday....

That car just looks great from every angle, you need to take more trips and more photo's for those of us that have cars in dry dock, umm I mean cars that aren't running.
 
Read my mind. Took both the Polara and Park Lane out for a 40 mile ride each. Back to back and what a huge difference in how they handle and drive. The Polara feels light in the front even though all front suspension pieces have been replaced. I get a little nervous nearing 80 mph as though it will fly. The Park Lane feels heavy in the front and that she will track straight ahead no matter what. Steering is light as typical but not as light as the Polara. Had no issues pushing the car to 90 mph once. Being a BB 410 it has no issues with moving off the line. The 360 in the Polara is definitely going to need help as moving up a long grade was a chore for the car while the Park Lane breezed.

Then it goes down hill quick after that.

Pics of the Park Lane? There was a Park Lane wagon in town that got me started on the idea of having another '60s car. Unfortunately, it sold before I was ready to buy. I think it was a '66, as well, so it might not have had rear seat belts or rear safety glass, which would have been a deal breaker anyway.
 
I was thinking how that's a Vermont Country Store catalog picture. Nice Salt box. New England Barn Red with white trim. I hope they painted the front door Hunter Green.

You should try the floating feeling in a 1970 Fury sedan at over 120 mph, you need two lanes to stay on the road! The power steering pumps sure do put out some pressure at high speeds.
