Just replaced the engine wiring harness in my 65 300L. Evans wiring supplied an engine wiring harness as close to the original as you can get. Very pleased. Even the coolant temp sending unit 2 wire connector was correct. Plug and play..one hour install and a little clean up time. If your in need of a wiring harness Evans is the way to go.

Looks like these are standard items now.

The quality really is fantastic. They custom made harnesses for my 72 Newport. Engine/battery/lights/bulkhead/ac. Cost a pretty penny, but they are perfectly done with care. I sent him photos of my harnesses, and he gave me a quote. I cleaned and mailed him mine. He then mailed back both new and old within a few weeks.

I have been using Evans wire harnesses for years. All ways pick up a harness or two when at Carlisle. Haven't been able to get to Carlisle last couple years tho.

I love to read this stuff...

After soooooo many guys posting about using the Mickey Mouse wiring kits from Painless (or is that Painful?), or rewiring their car with lamp cord and Romex, it's a ray of sunshine to see "this works" rather than "when I turn my lights on, the horn blows".

I haven't used Evans on a C-body, I just called about getting a Pos battery cable. I will have to send an original for Evans to copy. I will wait till I can get to Carlisle.

I believe they made their 65 C Body engine and headlight harness from the samples I provided years ago. The ones they gave me from the patterns fit perfect.

I just purchased my engine forward kit, and battery cables. This is my second time. One for my previous 300, and one for the current 300. No complaints!

That is good to know. My parts book lists that the P D C and Y car lines use the same positive Battery cable, 3513196. Thanks, I will call and let them know to send.

Definitely worth the money if you want quality and factory fitting accuracy.
All the wiring harnesses from my 71 NY were sent to Bill back in May of 2020 when I was rebuilding the car last year, and got therm back in about 3 weeks. He returned the originals with the new harnesses, which fit perfectly.
Even though the list above from shoote65 lists C body up to 1969, he should still have the template for 71 AC equipped Chrysler's. I purchased the pos/neg battery cables from Evans Wiring for the NY too.

Thanks for posting this! I agree that it's nice to hear of success stories! Once I tear into my 68 (which was converted to electronic ignition with the normal needed splices) I will probably get a new harness fabbed up.

By the way you meant yo say P,D,C, Y Car lines, not bodies...no such thing as a P body or Y body.

Much appreciated!

Was this a harness that they had in stock or did they make it special for you? The last I knew they were big into the B and E bodies.
They had it in stock. Came bagged and tagged 65 C body. Got lucky to speak with a very knowledgeable gentleman when ordering. He pulled one off the shelf while we were talking and addressed all my concerns. Mainly the 2 wire connector to the coolant temp sending unit on Chryslers. I believe they have quite alot of C-body harnesses now.

They have it in stock...both ways. For electronic ignition conversions and the stock points ignition.

Well, I would love to get a positive battery cables for one of my 1970 C-body 'verts. The product is in their list, and I've reached out to them. Thanks @chippers65300 and @Boydsdodge

Edit: the price is $150 + $18 for S&H, I have ordered one.
