F... I Want A Hellcat!

If they knocked the price down so that the average person could afford one, everybody would be buying them and there would be nothing but death and carnage on the highways. It's bad enough how people drive as it is.

That's a ridiculous notion but maybe it would thin the herd

They CAN'T knock the price down. That would increase sales which would lower overall average company EPA fuel ratings. To offset that, they would have to sell 10x the amt. of 200's.
Once again, regulated by the gum'mint to "protect us from ourselves".
They keep interfering with the Free Market process.

Regardless of any regulatory interference, they can sell more than they can make so there's no chance of a price reduction.

Hellcat rollout was a complete fiasco.

Ma Mopar continues to put out world class Hellcat advertising commercials.....

Now if they can get those involved in Hellcat production!!!

You're not wrong Stan. CAFE regulations for a truck/SUV heavy company like FCA are making it difficult to produce high volumes of vehicles we would all like to own like Hellcats even if they could ramp up their suppliers to match parts production with demand. The problem of a large corp going bankrupt is that it takes the suppliers with them. They didn't receive the gum'mint assistance Chrysler and GM did and have been slower to recover. Besides these cars belong in the hands of people that appreciate them for their heritage rather than their drifting ability .... thats what Camaros are for.

Mopar has been F$%ked for CAFE since the Benz buyout... they sold their rental car fleets... just prior to take over... Benz didn't want them... US car company cant survive very well without them. When CAFE starts kicking their butt GM and Ford still have rental "dumping grounds" rent cheap for six months or so then wholesale to used car market with a couple thousand miles of warranty left... nobody makes much profit, but they get their numbers straight otherwise they have to buy credits from other manufacturers and that rule keeps getting harder. They would have been better off just giving away the truck biz... that was all Benz camp seemed to want.

I don't fully trust Fiat...I hope they can keep it going... but they won't survive a poor market/recession for long unless there is something else brewing I am unaware of.

My Son-in-Law just picked up hiz 2016 R/T in B5 Blue yesterday. I'll be damned if I'll ask him for a ride tho'! If he don't offer I'll wet down hiz wheelz and burn the clear coat off 'um the next time I go to visit our Daughter and Grand Daughter

You wont need to wet down the wheels......Turn the traction control off and youll spin the wheels for 500 ft

Oldsmobile made sense to kill... no sales and voluntary long before 08 mess. Saturn had kinda evolved away from their original customer service for a not so wonderful product... I know someone would argue, but they built their name on cheap cars and good service/different sales model... that was not the way it was at the end. GMC simply allows Buick dealers to sell trucks... but Pontiac was a huge waste of money reestablishing market share based on performance. IMO that one should have stayed.

I was surprised Mopar made it through... IDK that they would have without Tony....

Nothing better than the sound of a supercharged Mopar!

Or the sound of that supercharged Mopar breaking loose at 80MPH when you stomp on the foot feed....scared the beejeezus out of me! Took 2 days to wipe the smile off my face.:3gears:

Say what?
You're saying you were do 80mph in top gear, stomp on it, it down shifted, and the tires broke loose?
You had to have done that on an iced over road...:poke:

Nope it was May cool day maybe 15 degrees C doing 125kmh slammed down the throttle assend wiggled rpms jumped and I just about pooped myself however factory tires were cold road still had winter gravel on it many other excuses but that car scared me and the tech riding along.

Quote from an owner on Hellcat.org

"And any acceleration just a smidgen too much breaks the tires loose and I dont care what speed im at- they will break loose at 20mph, at 30mph, at 40 mph. shiit ive spun them at 50 mph. I cand drive down the road in Drive and just stomp on it at 50 mph and it gets sideways.
