Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

I bet I could call them and ask about how negotiable they are on price and get 15k knocked off.
I can't imagine the phone is ringing much on this one, folks with that kinda money are looking at other cars.

From my readings, there were never any 4-speed factory police cars.
Whether it is an original 4-speed car and dolled as a copcar remains to be seen.
But my hunch is it's not an original copcar, and not an original 4-speed car either.

To my belief, this is not a factory PRNDL black-out plate.

Here's a plate in my 300L. I can't imagine they made a plain one just for Nupes. And this 'copcar' is missing the clear lens over top.

Mine, which shows a tiny bit of matching flash-glare across ammeter and the blockoff.

This color mismatch between dashboard and the pieces of the steering column also makes me wonder if hte steering column was modified.
The horn-button section of collar matches the dash better than the downstream pieces. Those pieces would've needed to be changed to make a AT-column into a floorshift column. I'm betting if we could see better, we'd find the big column-AT cable-shift knuckle in the engine bay.

But this detail was enough for me to not really have any further curiosity.

i think its cool, but also doubt its a "police car".

i'd need pieces of paper as i dont believe there is sufficient physical evidence to confirm its true pedigree.

might be "real", might be cloned. i have no interest in it as an historical law enforcement vehicle, but again i do like it.

however, dont believe any fleet buyer would have ordered one (even if they could have) so equipped.

as a collectible old Newp, it is interesting. even then id need to know much more about it before going anywhere near $20 large for it.

hope it finds a good home.

This one is now on ebay. It's NR and bidding at $10k, which IMO is about maxed for what it's worth.
1965 Plymouth Fury 383ci 4sp/Hurst | eBay

IMO buyer-beware on this one, lots of stuff incorrect and/or poorly done. FT is not on the fenderwell so cannot verify what original drivetrain was.
Underhood looks awful, and interior is a county-mile from being original/correct.
Seller says he owns a shop, the quality of work here is not impressive to me, but perhaps he didn't do the work?

Incorrect hood ornament.
Valve covers are from the 70s with PCV grommets, the PS pump is not from a 65, it's a 2-barrel (which is possible with a 4-speed but extremely rare) - all signs suggest NOM.
And there's the awful interior treatment - wrong colors everywhere, trim-shop stitched doorpanels have wrinkles, backseat is wrong type (looks like it's a sedan seat that was bent to fit), etc.
And looking at the body, there's lots of TLC needed. The fender/hood edge trim is poor, front bumper is boogered. Hood is poorly aligned. There are no pics of the rear of the car but I'd suspect it's comparable.
