$710 and holding. Maybe it topped out. You still have a chance.

It topped out for now, obviously at the end of the auction it will be over a grand. Thats a lot of coin for something that is nothing more than a novelty.

I'm thinking BillyFury is in on the bidding. How do you go up against that?

Will that tach fit the clock station of the 69/70 Polara/Monaco instrument cluster? If so there's something else I need to watch for in swap meets. Wonder if its a cop car option?

I dont think so Fred, I'd have to go and measure things but it doesnt appear to simply slide right in.

You should always be looking for this stuff anyway....

What are the specifics of the steering wheel you seek?

Picture?

Here's the coolest wheel I know of, and they are very hard to find, as most just had the solid one color round wheel. My Dad's '60 Plymouth Fury Suburban wagon was the red interior version of this...

I'm a big fan of mid century modern design and that is really fantastic! Even has the record player!

FINALLY found the pic...

Stan, I thought those leather wrapped steering wheels were only available in white?

The special edition Salon was only available as a four door in a unique 2 stage silver exterior(a first for Chrysler). The interior was limited to two colors: burgundy and grey.

About 4 -5 months ago I had a once in a lifetime opportunity (for me anyway) to buy a virtually new Salon but I passed because it was so close to new, my driving it would have devalued it too much. Absolutely a museum piece, time capsile, whatever you want to call it. I think the tits were still on the tires.

Stan, I'm not certain of the leather wrap, but that wheel looks just like the one I had in a '79 Newport. The car was black with red interior.

That two spoke tilt & teli wheel was used on many models 74 - 80 sumthin.
The leather two spoke t&t wheel was Salon only in '78 and other models 79+
I know 'dobas with t&t had leather wrapped wheels so I can see the R-bodies having them possibly.

There's a gazzillion two spoke t&t wheels w/o leather. I'v'e got several plus several I've given away.

Stan, Do you have a light blue 2 spoke?

Thanks Stan. So, they used the same 2 spoke T&T steering wheel in '78 and later Cordoba's and continued to use them in '79 and later Newport's?

Yes on the Cordobas and a idunno on the R-bodies. Be worth checking it out though. Trouble is, R-body parts are even harder to find. They didn't sell many and they rusted out quickly so they were crushed early on.

Here's Frank's $912 (yes, I said nine hundred and twelve) steering wheel I want.
