Finally in the body shop!

It looks great. What other color would look as good?....

That's just it... I really like the color combination.

I thought about changing the color for a few seconds, and decided to stay with the original T-6 Bronze.

More pics.

They're working on the doors now.

There was a small crease that was filled with bondo hidden under the paint.

This isn't good. Hidden with bondo! The sandblaster uncovered it. They'll weld a new lip on it.

We knew there was a little rust in the door corners.

The dent has been pulled out and the door sand blasted.

cool, progress is always a good thing. it'll be a nice ride, that's for sure.

On Friday they took the top off and went to town on the left quarter.

Evidence of old repair.

Someone replaced the quarter somewhere in the car's past life!

A bit of rust and another surprise.

More work. This quarter turned out rougher than we thought.

Body seam at the rocker panel.

Making a patch.

Old patches on the "Dutchman" panel.

Cut out. Good metal underneath.

Straightened panel with a skim coat of bondo. 30" sanding board!

Wow, really nice fab skills. I love that lower rear piece with the inner lip all inclusive. Very nice!

Nice work. What are the plans for that frame rail?

That is the only bad spot in the frame. The rest is clean and solid, so they are going to weld in new metal at that spot. Looks like something leaked and rusted a hole in the trunk floor/wheel well area and then rusted that hole in the frame. We will probably never know what caused it, but I've seen cars where someone put a battery in the trunk and it tipped over and caused this type of damage.

They stripped the other side and while that quarter was also replaced somewhere along the line, it's much straighter and solid.

Dave, that's one of the best compliments I've ever had about one of my cars. Thank you.
