Finally in the body shop!

Finally... Finally....

I took the car out tonight for a ride... Top down and a perfect night.

The interior isn't quite back together. I put some "rattle trap" sound deadening in the doors too and got the windows adjusted a little better. The door panels are still off, and I need to paint the console, but it's very drivable at least.

The good news is the car is much, much more quiet. The sound deadening stuff is doing it's job and the wind noise from those damn spotlights is gone too!

Before you put your door panels back on, if you can find it, some of that thin closed cell foam that's meant to go under hardwood floors works great behind the door panels on top of the water shield. I did that to my '56 Imperial 4dr hdtp, and the difference was startling.

That is exactly what I'm doing. I'm using the ensolate foam that I used as a top layer on the floor.

Spectacular results. I agree it is a great color. Do you plan to put the factory dual pinstripes on it, or leave them off like the emblems? The 70 300s are my favorite cars. Enjoy!

For now, I'm leaving them off. If I do put them on, they'll be a color to match the top.

Gorgeous John, the color is outstanding. I dont know how I missed the last few pages but I cant wait to see her...:eek:ccasion14:

Yes ....... I don't think there was ever any doubt. RWL always look great on post 1969 cars. But then white wall's do to.

There are some Formal guys on the board that swear against it ..........

As I always say, it completely depends on the look and feel of the car , they both look good

What I see is that the RWL make the tire look 2 sizes fatter which is not a bad thing....

The RWL tires are taller than the WWs, fatter too yes. That is the closest example I could come up with. Once the springs are on I will post it again.

Generally speaking, I don't like the RWL. My A12 always had the black walls out. I never even considered RWL on that car and all my other cars never had the RWL mounted out. Same with white walls. Rarely did I have the white walls out.

The previous owner mounted the tires like that on the 300 and I really like it. I can't put my finger on why either.
