Old Man with a Hat
Now yet another reason I'm waiting for Carlisle to get here 11 months and counting.
Finally... Finally....
I took the car out tonight for a ride... Top down and a perfect night.
The interior isn't quite back together. I put some "rattle trap" sound deadening in the doors too and got the windows adjusted a little better. The door panels are still off, and I need to paint the console, but it's very drivable at least.
The good news is the car is much, much more quiet. The sound deadening stuff is doing it's job and the wind noise from those damn spotlights is gone too!
Before you put your door panels back on, if you can find it, some of that thin closed cell foam that's meant to go under hardwood floors works great behind the door panels on top of the water shield. I did that to my '56 Imperial 4dr hdtp, and the difference was startling.
excellent !!!!!!!!!!!that is exactly what i'm doing. I'm using the ensolate foam that i used as a top layer on the floor.
Spectacular results. I agree it is a great color. Do you plan to put the factory dual pinstripes on it, or leave them off like the emblems? The 70 300s are my favorite cars. Enjoy!
Once again, proof the RWL look spectacular with road wheels!
