Finally in the body shop!

I've been working on the 300 since it came home, but I've had to head out of town a couple times and that slowed me up a bit.

The floor got a layer of "Rattle Trap" sound deadening, followed with a layer of "Ensolate" sound deadener. New carpet from Trim Auto on top, but no pics of that.

All the trim is back on except the rear top trim, rocker and wheelwell trim. The rocker and wheel well trim need some work and I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with that just yet. The top trim (deck lid/rear of top) will go on this week.

Outstanding, but where are the holes for the "Three Hundred" emblem?:poke:

Looks Great! I'm making engine sounds while looking at this picture.

Yea.. I was wondering when someone would pick up on that......

I kept looking at the deck lid and how clean it looks without the emblem.... and I decided to let it go for now. I have nice emblems for it and they can be added any time... drill some holes and it's done.

The car has no side "Chrysler" emblems either.

I like the clean look as well!

Sharp eyes there James!

I was so dazzled by the pretty new paint and shiny new chrome I completely missed those details :)

I only noticed because I provided some measurements of the mounting holes in another thread and wanted to see how it turned out.

And you were rewarded with them not being on there.

Just joking LOL

Well, I did save the pictures so I can drill the holes later on if I want to.....

The only new chrome is the die cast rails around the convertible top. The front bumper could use it, the chrome is scratched but at least not down through the nickle. Maybe next year....

I buffed all the stainless myself and it came out pretty decent.

The A pillar trim had the spotlight holes. I got some replacements from a friend that were cast offs from an old project. I spent a lot of time working the dents out, and then file and buff.

I still haven't figured out what to do with the rocker and wheelwell trim. It's a little rough, but I haven't found any better yet.

Finally... Finally....

I took the car out tonight for a ride... Top down and a perfect night.

The interior isn't quite back together. I put some "rattle trap" sound deadening in the doors too and got the windows adjusted a little better. The door panels are still off, and I need to paint the console, but it's very drivable at least.

The good news is the car is much, much more quiet. The sound deadening stuff is doing it's job and the wind noise from those damn spotlights is gone too!
