First of many questions about my '67 Monaco (power steering fluid)...

Am sure it's been asked before so have a bit of patience. The power steering unit looks a tad bit low on fluid on my 1967 Monaco 500. Can I top it off with current day fluid? I have a bottle of STP power steering fluid that has never been opened. Okay to use?

I just have always used atf but I'm sure someone will freak out over that so wait and see, it has always worked for me.

I've used Dexron trans fluid for ever. You will be fine.Mix it up, fix the leak.

What, you mean everybody doesn't use t/fluid in their power steering res?? Been doing it for as I can remember.

If I had free P.S. fluid, I'd put it in the tranny.
One or two molecule difference but mostly marketing difference.

ive been using auto tranny dex oil too.

Both are hydrualic fluids. ATF gets the job done.
