Flat towing a C body

Do you think an RV could flat tow a cruise ship without pulling out the drive shaft?

(see what I did there?)

Just trying to keep this thread on the rails….. flat towing a c-body with any RV. :)

but it does seem like a thread on our joy of cruising is in order.

I don't get the RV and tow the car thing, especially with a classic. Drive the car and get rooms.

To drive a old convertible through the likes of a national park like Yellowstone, Sequoia or over Hoover dam, around the Grand Canyon or the Vegas strip at night or the Pacific Coast highway .
Camping or spending time in the woods is far better than any room.

One thing to remember about towing with a bus like that, is the overhang behind the axle will exaggerate turns.

Imagine when you take a right at a light, the towed vehicle will actually turn left first, then whip back hard right as the the bus drives through the turn.
Sounds like it would be hard on front end components and tires.

Surely a bus owning baller such as yourself can spring for a matching trailer to tow behind the bus!
:D

Even Better! My thing was most RV'rs are not into "camping"

If you tow by attaching to the rear of the car, you can avoid all the RWD issues.

I once towed a junker '78 NY'er using a strap and a $19.95 uhaul box truck. The car had no brakes, so a friend rode inside and just steered. I did my best to come to slow stops where he would just tap me, but one of them was pretty hard. I looked in the mirror to find him laughing maniacally.

Just then a woman pulled up and yelled "he ran right into you and didn't even try to stop. Do you need me as a witness?"

That's my flat towing story.
