but I have nowhere seen so many Prius than in the US. They are rare in germany but the US is full of hybrid crap

It's the 1960 Edsel with the initially planned front end. There are old pics of at least one prototype, this 4dr. ht. that was built that way. The one in my initial pic was altered during resto to the discarded design as far as I know. It was featured in a Collectible Automobile issue in the past as well.

There are only a few that truly catch my eye. I personally think the 50's was a design disaster for the most part. Oh, I will admit there were a few standouts that hearken back to sane and sober thought, but the rest were just absolutely horrendous..IMHO, of course.
