Put the cars away. It's gonna nail you head on...

Yep, got the car cover on the NY'er already. The house secured...pounded a couple more hurricane clips in the deck. As of now.....it's headed straight for me. It could shift a little north and head towards the Jersey boys. Either way...we are all going to get pounded. The power going out is my biggest concern.

Don't let the TV weather types never-ending hype scare you too much. Yes, it's a storm and you should take precautions. But those clowns would have you thinking it is a nuclear bomb. There ought to be a law...

I'm just looking forward to the power going out. Recent lesser storms had knocked the power out in the area for almost 2 weeks. I just hope I can get the Packer game in before all hell breaks loose. It suppose to stall over us for 2-3 days. I might have to dip into my Imp fund and install a whole house standby generator that runs on natural gas. I'm getting too old to be hand bailing the effing sump pump.

Hope all who are in it's path fair well....cars too. And remember it pertains to Gov't and Media...Fear equals ratings, which equals money, which equals control. This is why I don't watch TV, and only believe half of what I read in the papers.

You guys stay safe out there. Bob, do you think that you should find some inside storage for your NYB, how about that co-op that you've shown pics of? Isn't it time to do something on that car that will take a couple days to do and disable it on some cozy hoist?

I already checked. It's full up. Nepotism at it's finest! They'll call me if a spot opens up. I doubt it.

Nice day today 70 degrees. Starting to get cloudy and windy. Got the NYB buttoned up.

I'll post some after pictures Wednesday or whenever the power is restored.

I've got a $200 plus car cover that I've used only once, guess sun/mon is gonna make it twice.

I think Sun/Mon/Tue/Wed would be a better time frame. I hope you Jersey boys are safe!!!

Thanks, appreciate that. I don't have her buttoned up yet. Probably in the morning, but I'll post the lock down right after getting her squared away.

Sounds like you should anchor the cover down with cinder blocks from the way they're talking.

I live in a "development". I have neighbors on one side of me. I'm seriously thinking about parking between the two houses, although my neighbor won't like it.

It looks like I picked the right time to hightail it out of that area, and I picked a spot that didn't get too much effect at all - just north of Jacksonville. Best of luck to you guys up there.

I put the top up on the convertible for the first time in months and rolled all the windows up on both cars, they're all snug in the garage. We'll see if this one matches the hype, they never seem to.

I have some 1" ratchet straps that I'll put on the front and rear in the morning. I have a wire security cable and a nylon strap securing it around the center for now.

If I had a way to keep the sump operational.....I would of went to Jacksonville to see the Packers and Jaguars play tomorrow instead of watching it on the NFL Sunday Ticket.
