Hey Guys
I had some good friends (car-nut's) over today, for planning a trip to the US in Oct-Nov 2017. We agreed to start in Texas (or close if the right car is there), and then probably zig-zag our way to California, and fly home from there... I would like to use the opportunity, to buy / drive, and subsequently add a Fusie to my small Mopar collection. We would also love suggestions on where to go, in order to cover as many car-related events on the way, as humanly possible. We all have various expectations for the trip..
I am looking forward to re-visit America, and hopefully hang out with like minded (car-enthusiast) Americans, and wouldnt mind to see a tumbleweed.
My very good friend Michael (Pontiac guy, but I am working on a cure), wants to see some top-fuel, and visit "Gas monkey".
His son Rasmus, has not posted any expectations yet, but we all want to see as many many classic US cars as possible... ;-)
As we are not planning to bring a lot of tool's, (and I am not asking for any "guarantee" that the car will perform without issues on the trip), it need's to be in "roadworthy" condition, registered, and preferably a 2-door.. but of course, it all depends on the car. I have been known to whip out the old "drool-bucket" over a vert, a wagon, or a nice 4-door before. A nice '70 300 coupe would be perfect, as I still regret selling the one I had previously. Will pay for the right car in advance, if we can agre on storage until we arrive. Abt. insurance, I've been told, that most insurance companies will add a "transportation charge", for new owner to move the car to a harbour, and thus you will be with out responsibility.
Thnx in advnc for offers, and suggestions.. :-D
