Gary: The Chrysler commercial in your signature.

Buddy Ebsen was the original Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, but he was severely allergic to the aluminum-based make-up used and nearly died because of that; and he had to be replaced by actor Jake Haley. The singing portions by Ebsen were still in the movie, though.

William Conrad and the Cannon TV show was one of my favorites. Remarkable narrating voice.
Anyone alive who remembers him first hand as the original Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke, the radio show I mean ?

There used to be a cable channel (at least where I live) that used to run a lot of yesteryear TV shows. They ran this show a couple times called the "Mod Squad" that had tons of Chrysler and Mopar cars in it.

hey he also Stared with Fess Parker In Walt Disney's Davey Crockett Series in the 1950's. Now Tell Me You Never ever herd of Fess Parker?

Actually what happened is they used powered aluminum ,which he ingested coated his lungs and almost killed him. A replacement was found ( Jack Haley) while he was in the hospital recovering. They changed it to a aluminum paste .

When I was a little kid Dale Robertson gave me a model of the 20 mule team (mounted on a board) from the Death Valley Days, still have it packed up, somewhere.
