No doubt your car is beautiful, and I actually love the color but we all have preferences. Yeah. I actually wanted one with vent windows which this gold one I was looking at did not have.

My gut tells me he sold it and did not have the courage to tell me the truth.

It turns out that the guy has been bullshitting me the whole time! I sent $500 and would pay him $2100 once I got there and loaded up.

I got a message from PayPal saying the deposit has been refunded. I asked the seller what happened and he said he could not find the title.

I tell him that I will be there this coming Sunday with a trailer and now he said he can’t sell me the car.

At least he gave you your money back and told you the truth about the title.
OTOH, it sucks that he put the vehicle up for sale without assuring he had title.
What a downer to be all excited to buy a c-body and not have the sale go thru!

I don’t think he was being entirely truthful with me even still. After he realized I was not too far from him (300 miles) and I was a serious buyer his demeanor changed and he was less communicative.

This car looks WAY better than it did when I saw it in London!! That inch of crud on the outside is gone and Santa had started to clean up the mildew inside. Has the smell cleared up? Did you buy the black car?

Yes I bought The Black W White interior(Tux) and Brownie. Brownie cleaned up pretty nice, it has gone to a gentleman that wants to do a full restoration. Tux is a fantastic car, so clean and original, the must is almost completely gone after a few good cleanings. Some time in the sun this spring will help.
