Too bad it rained on the couple. The daughter and her date, of a friend of mine, drove Goldie on a very wet Saturday evening.

That's cool, very lucky to go in your ride. Like you said to bad it was raining, but with the top down what would it have done to their hair?

I have been friends and old school mates with the girls mother forever, she is like a sister too me. This was just a drive-in, so the guy never had Goldie over 5mph. I am not crazy, teenage, with a beautiful girl next to him on slick roads. She actually wore her hair up hoping the top would be down.

I was actually very pleasantly surprised how well the 300 did in the heavy rain and ponding on the road. I had never driven her under those conditions before. It is good to know for some trips planned this year rain or shine.

Great looking car i bet it was the best and classiest car there. They should be honored to ride in it.

didnt Goldie participate in a prom last year?

She was suppose to, but I had the first of 2 condensers that went bad last year and was still trying to diagnose the problem. The current condenser is the one I took off of it originally, so it is at least 35-50 years old.

I would have been seriously pissed at the weatherman.
Wednesday they were still saying cool but dry. It rained all day started at noon. It was beautiful today sunny and 74.

Driver her to church then out to lunch. Then a sun set spin around the block which is about 10 miles :)

The bankers hot rod, perfect for any formal event. I like the last picture because several people are checking it out. That's very cool that they had a cruise up at the prom to show off the cars and make an entrance I assume. Is the umbrella yours also? Seems to match the car.

A very nice gesture for your friend and her daughter. I'm glad Goldie handled the rain like a champ.

We're going to do a prom in a couple weeks.

They get a bunch of folks with cars to drive the kids from the school to the ball and then to the after ball party. The kids have to pledge to be alcohol/drug free for the evening.

This is the first year I've been able to do it in many years. I did it since they started about 20 years ago. The year my oldest son graduated (2000), he took his date in my Corvette and I took another couple in my Roadrunner.

It is funny you mentioned the umbrella, it is not mine. I made a comment about it, to her mom. When they heard it was going to rain they went to find an umbrella to match her dress. When all the Navy blues didn't match, they said why don't we get one to match the car.

I thought that was pretty cool. I need to ask where they got it.
