Hello,

Can someone recommend a good source for a rear axel puller for a 55 Chrysler?

Please and thanks,
Mike

I'd tell ya the first place to look would be on ebay, for tapered axle pullers.
Then take your pick.
I got an excellent puller off a vendor there, a few years ago.

OTC 7394 is what I use and I have had good luck with it. (available online) When using any tapered axle puller run the jam nut down to about 100 ft lbs of torque and hit the head of the tension screw with a moderate sized hammer, re-tighten and repeat necessary until the hub pops loose. Do not ever use any type puller that attaches to the outer circumference of the brake drum, this will warp the drum.

Before you buy one, let me look. I may have an extra that I wouldn't mind turning into cash. It's too late to wander out in the cold shop right now.
