My 68 charger has a 8.25 in it I always thought it was just replaced, because the rest is not original motor, sorry "engine" and trans how would I tell if it is original? Not that it matters it won't survive behind a 440

It wouldn't survive a 340 if you put a built 340 in a Charger.

Car was originally a 383 2 bbl. I parted a 74 fury with a 400 2bbl with a 8.25 in it.
