Greensboro Classic Car Auction Nov 2019

There are no words to describe this beautifull Lincoln Premiere. Only restored one I’ve ever seen. Definitely a Barrett-Jackson quality car. Check out those ventilation tubes in the package tray area. The car was a no sale with a high bid of only $18 thousand View attachment 330928View attachment 330929View attachment 330930View attachment 330931View attachment 330932View attachment 330933View attachment 330934

The turquoise goes very well with the white. I love it.

Those tubes indicate a factory A/C option.
Yep I have a bud who had a 56 Chrysler & it had something like that

2 year only option, these were the best of the Vega's. I have a soft spot for these cars and the Monza also. My dad had 2 of them, a 71 that had a 2.5L Iron Duke swapped in and a 74 that had a tunnel rammed 350, 4 speed and a 12 bolt with 4:10 or 4:56 gears. I had a 77 wagon that I swapped in a 231 Buick V6 and a 77 Monza Mirage 305, 4 speed.

This beautifull Buick GS with its super rare fake hood scoops & the California script on the quarter panels. This car was better than original as far as appearance with super glossy paint that popped under the lights. Anybody know of this as a special model.

What is a GS California?

A GS California is a thin pillar coupe (VIN 43327, Special Deluxe) that received a GS hood, GS badges and trim, and the high performance 350-4B. Other than that, it is a base model Special Deluxe as far as interior and usually is very limited as far as options.

The condensed version of what I found. I saw one a few years back, first one I'd ever seen.

These old bullet birds just don’t get any love. I rarely see one bring decent money let alone big money. I love them but obviously I’m in the minority. This was probably the nicest one I’ve seen. It was perfect inside & out. Love the pewter on this car. I’ve never seen one with the louvered trim pieces on the door. Unfortunately the car was a no sale with a high bid of only $14 thousand.

There was a dozen or so of the square fender Chevy’s at the auction. The armature restoration & unrestored trucks were bringing about 5 to 12 thousand bucks. Fair prices. However the quality restored trucks commanded surprising much higher prices as seen here. There was a lot of nice cars that didn’t get close to the price of some of these squares brought. Food for thought. Might be a good time to fix up that old Chevy & sell it. Market seem good right now.

It is said that a car is worth what someone will pay for it. Judging from the end results many thought their car was worth more than the high bids they received. Well maybe in another few years one expectation will meet the other only which way...?
