Gulf states.. And just like that, we're off.

Welp lets see what happens with this one;

Looks like rain to me... but the news sure seems to be having fun with it.
This stretch of rain is the longest and the most dreary I have ever seen since coming down here. Going on two weeks now. And I'm not talking about your mandatory 4:00 PM T-storms. I'm talking RAIN!
I'm gonna go out and kill me something. Soon.

You caught the window where I mowed the lawn perfectly...
I'm enjoying the hades out out of it. :D :D Here's too 60 more days...
What's wrong with you, man?
Bill obviously doesn't do his own mowing...

Nope it just grows that damned fast. I mow at max height (4in) on my mower for the St Augustine, and in two days I have about 2 inches to mow down. So pushing a mower through almost 6 inches of grass not so bad. If goes longer than that, it gets to be a pain in the ***. I only trim and edge once a week though.

An hour every two days aint bad.

St. Augustine is not grass.
It's a weed that grows vine-like across the top of the dirt.
Nastiest ground cover I've ever seen.

All grass that can survive in FL sucks...
All grasses are weeds, some just hold up to traffic better than others.
I have settled on embracing anything green that continues to cover the dirt... the "dollar weed" portion of my back yard looks great until the weather turns cool.

Years ago, I seeded with several of the most drought resistant strains the local ACE had on the shelf... Now when my neighborhood waters to prevent turning brown, mine stays green much longer. I have received a number of positive comments and an occasional request to share my genius... Few believe it's all cheap bastardism and that I tore out the old defunct sprinkler system right after I moved in.

Hey.... we're up to 90% now. Guess it's off to stock up on some water. Just in cases...

Weather channel is making up new phrase's again...

"HYBRID HOLIDAY"

I had the sound off and was just waiting for a Lava update, but I deducted from the scroll bar about turning your windshield wipers on high during 'Downpours' that were going to have a lot of 'Oh Lord Help Us' if this storm materializes!

For the newcomers that are just too busy and gotta be somewhere in'a hurry, when it rains hard here in the South we pull over and sit it out rather than end up in the ditch or worse!
