I love this site, because finely i found people that like C bodies, but my question is this, I posted a car off craiglist forsale (70 fury), i said i loved it, love the wheels, love the stance, yes it has rust and is kind of high on price but in this area, most of them went the way of a demolition derby car or completly rusted out, second, not everyone likes hubcaps and whitewalls, but i would never tell someone there car looks bad because it has them, thats the first thing i take off a car. Its ok to be different, its ok to like other things.
Third how did my add change from a car add to 2 people fighting, isnt that changing the subject, and from 2 people that has posted alot here, I dont get it.
I love all C bodies even if you have hubcaps and whitewalls, or are rusted, iam just happy when i see them driving down the road, alot of these cars loose there parts for other projects. Sorry about the rant

Bravo.......you are so right ...they are set in there ways here.....some of them pick apart every car if it's not like theirs....and all prices are too high except theirs....I just read and laugh

I guess thats what this site is mostly about then, right? Commraderie and being able to laugh at others AND yourself once and awhile. The main thing is that we all dig Chrysler c body cars.....together.

You don't understand.
We all sit around the pot belly stove here talking about all kinds of things and enjoy arguing and poking each other in the ribs in good humor. While some bench race, some knit, other kvetch like anyone you see sitting in a circle on their lawn chairs at a car show. I have seen only one truly mean spirited person and he got his *** banned real quick. We don't feign outrageous indignation over the slightest thing said that is not 100% P.C. This place is unlike any other forum that I know of and it's perfect. Don't %^$#@ with something that's not broken. Refreshing, yes. Broken, no.
If I, or anyone, says WTF were you thinking with those ucking fugly wheels, it's nothing I don't say to my best car bud down here. And he gives it right back in spades.

I was just wandering, like i said i love all c bodies, but it scared me, because i used to be big in camaroes, bought a new iroc and everything, the first day i had the car i took and had new white lettered tires put on it, even joined a camaro club (a very big one, wont say the name), do you know i had so many of the club members get mad because i had white lettered tires and not black walled tires, i got tired of hereing it so i sold my camaro, quit the club, and bought a mopar and have never looked back. And you are right a little bickering never hurt anyone.

Now your getting it....:icon_pidu:
And congradulations on your switch to mopar... Welcome.!
This site is a little different then most... takes some getting used to the characters here...kinda like a mystery novel. No matter what anyone here says... we ALL love all C bodys..... Well, except the ones with the 24 " wheels... painted lime green.... with only three hubcaps.... or silver air cleaners... or...... AWHhhh.... never mind.

Have a good time and don't take us to seriously.

Everyone here has a common interest in C-Bodies. Different thn most forums and always entertaining.

I agree with almost 100% of what Commando wrote. He takes **** about his two tone paint job & he dishes it back out, pretty much like everyone else here does.

The purist trip really pisses me off too but this forum is 100% no holds barred, free speech.

Everyone is welcome on this board but those with delicate sensibilities beware! Although there are limits they are pretty high or low depending on your POV. I prefer the role of straight man but there's plenty of comedians here. Don Rickles would feel at home on this board.

Speaking of the devil, where is Dave? He's been AWOL for a couple of days ...

74 newport - You know, I thought the same thing when I first lurked a while before I registered, but figured out that there are a lot of smartass comments made here that are either lighthearted or just rib poking. You do have to have a bit of a thick skin, and be willing to take and give a bit. Like I said, I wondered for a while at first, but feel pretty comfortable now. If someone pokes fun at something you did to your car, just poke back or let it roll. Chances are pretty good it wasn't ment to be malicious.

Come on down..........but you really have to head down to Stan's area for the great weather.

I don't like rust or Whitewalls, or full wheel covers, yet at one point I had all 3 (kept the full wheel covers just couldn't keep them on the Car), the rest I'm happy to part with.

This Forum reminds me of my car club, we BS, we poke fun, we ask questions (sometimes we even get answers :yes_no:), We argue and we all have our own opinions, but you know what they say about opinions and assholes.

Read through the last two years of posts and you'll find very few stay on topic... but its all good

Hi folks; I changed my timing gears, (OMG I could just about lift the chain off), the cover gasket set came with a 12 cent "Oil gallery seal" a flat o ring. Where does it go? I'm funny that way, I bought it I wanna use it.
As long as I got your attention; I didn't drop the oil pan, is a helping of RTV red adequate to seal where the pan bolts to the bottom of the cover, or should I make a cork piece? I'd wonder if the sealant would wash out with it being in so much oil. Thank you folks, who've sent me good advice.
