I looked at a 76 Royal Monaco coupe today. It's a Mexican market car with a 360 running some really unusual exhaust.
The headers are not quite a tri-y setup. Each header terminates in two short collectors. The driver's side header has two flanged collectors. They merge together into a single pipe then run to the passenger side in the same manner as a stock manifold.
The passenger header has a two pipe collector on each side of the oil filter. They join together under the torsion bar. Oddly, this is a 3 pipe collector with the drivers side joining at the same merge.

The whole setup looks rather complicated but it clears the pinch points rather well. The passenger side has collectors on either side of the oil filter so that's probably a job best done cold on this car. Look closely at the 3rd pic. It shows the 3 way merge under the T-bar. Two pipes beside one another and the third is hard to see underneath the other two.

Have you folks ever seen a setup like this?
