Hello, everyone. My name is Clint, and I have been a Mopar man since I was old enough to know what cars were. As much as I enjoy and admire A, B, E, F, and M's, the big C's have always been my very favorite. I don't own my favorite car yet - a 1970 Chrysler Newport - but I stumbled onto this site and had to join. I look forward to learning from and enjoying this community. Best wishes to all of you, my new friends!

Welcome Clint, lucky you just joining, I joined 2012 and I still havnt read all the posts on this site (must be nearly there.. and I read a lot) so you will find a ton of info/pics here and get to know who the regular posters or 'characters' are that can most likely answer any question on cbodies and some that have an answer for 'everything' even non car related. Good site to get an idea of value of that special car you are looking for without trolling ebay, CL as nothing gets past this lot! Good luck in your search...

Welcome to the site lots of good stuff here. Good luck in your search. :VB toast:

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Hey! Welcome, Clint. You are in the best forum there is. Tell us more about the kind of Newport you want.

Okay, now I gotta ask as you say "nice car" a lot. Since he said he doesn't have a car yet how can he have a nice car or is this an auto post...? :poke:
It's a robo-Bob salutation that has a story.
Ya had to be there...

Wow! Thank you all for the warm welcome! I am very happy to be here, surrounded by kind and like-minded Mopar "boat" fanatics! I dream of finding a very clean, non-rusty, survivor-type '70 Newport, although I wouldn't turn my nose up at a clean 300H, either (lol). I love B and RB engines, but I wouldn't mind finding a small-block-motivated C-body. I would also love a '69 Fury III. I'm just a sucker for "fuselage" styling, particularly from 1969 to 1972 (or so). Like many "car guys," I prefer two-doors, but I do feel that these cars look great as four-doors, and even wagons. My "go-fast" days are largely behind me (I drove a '70 Challenger, 340 auto in high school), but what self-respecting car guy or gal doesn't love horsepower, too? The prices of the A, B, and E bodies have skyrocketed to the point that they are beyond my financial means, but there is more to my love of these cars than just money. The other platforms are wildly popular, and they richly deserve their legions of fans. However, I get MUCH more excited when I see a well-cared-for C-body on the road. They are not common, and I believe that is part of their unique appeal. And so, when I find just the right example - BAM! - I'll share in your pride of ownership.

My day will indeed come. For now, I will get to know you all, learn much from you, and share in your passion for these wonderful cars.

Thanks again, and I look forward to the journey with you!

Clint

Hi again! I am located in Southern California's "Inland Empire", in Riverside. I currently own a deceased 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser, but I ride a 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200 for transportation (I'm a bike nut, as well as a Mopar guy). This is the friendliest and most welcoming group I've encountered online, and I'm so grateful!
