About a 10-15 minute job to remove them, than full the holes with stainless bumper bolts. I'd bet that front and rear bumpers look beautiful without them.

This is a really rare car. I must be the prototype for Lean Burn, (stated in the ad).

yeah, totally agree about bumper guards, not a fan....

I tend to agree with you, not really a fan of the guards and could honestly do without them. Although the car does look good with them too. You gotta remember though Chrysler put these on for safety reasons, Plymouth's had them too.

Very nice car. You could never buy one that needed paint, interior, etc and put it together to look like this for anywhere near the price.

For $12.5k?

The car was slightly picked apart in the thread below:

For Sale - 1973 Moncao (again) *Not Mine*

Still in Palm Springs apparently, but the seller is looking to move on I guess after just a few years.

I think all the threads on this car are finally linked in this thread. The for sale threads are locked after a period of no activity, so this thread will become a link in the next "not mine" thread for this car, lol

Unfortunately the entire Mopar lineup was forced to put those POS on their cars by our illustrious gubm'nt. But that doesn't mean we can't take them off and show how great the designs of the bumpers were supposed to be.

I raise my glass to those who remove those hideous appendages and let the beauty shine through!:thumbsup:

i just thought it looked cool and I like the 4dr HT look. It was just going to be something to play around in. I'm not concerned if an air cleaner sticker isn't on straight :). Sometimes you want a car just because you want it. If anyone else has a heavily optioned car that's similar, not in green, I'd be interested.

I kept the fugly mandated bumper guards on my 73..
Besides,I had been known to push a dead car or two into the shop,LOL!!
