Holy heater hose batman!

I would test the heater core in the car. I use a bike pump w/ rubber hose. Replacing the heater core in a factory AC car is a pain. The main advantage would be to also get the leaf debris out to rid that "old car smell". It is common to have heater core tubes w/ dented in walls. Just takes one gomer trying to pry the old hoses off w/ a screw-driver (cut them). I always carry a little 5/8" hose and blockoff caps in my cars so something simple like that won't strand me, but only because I am older and wiser.

This forum is priceless. As is the bs and banter! Yep here in central texas it is sunny today with a high of 67 and a low of 45. I think that heater may get used once a year, but I will definitely leak test it and pull it in the future when I have the motor out. But for now no leaks, and I will keep the hose available in case I get in a bind on the side of the road. Y'all have a good thanks giving.

Paul
