How do you read the age of a tire?

Well the title says it all, how do you read the age of the tire on the sidewall?

They are black, round, hold air put them on the car. While Bob is away we can do whatever we want with tires. Unless they are bias ply they get thrown on the fire, they burn completely (no wire).
 
I learned everything there.
It still think of that place daily.
Absolutely the most awesome working environment one could hope for.
And I wish I knew it at the time...

I had a car with bias plys that didn't so old they didn't even have a DOT code. Drove like a dream, Bill Hickman can't be wrong. :laughing4:
 
They're "lying" ten steps away on the original rims. ;)
