How long must you own a car

Ok lets use the term "undocumented used-car salesman" if flipper is found to be offensive by some. Seems to fit.

I think a flipper, especially with our c-bodies. is one that buys it, fixes it up and doesn't have more than the car is worth when he is done. If you are putting the time and effort in and doing it right, you will probably be upside down with the car before too long.

It is not necessarily the length of time but the true intent. If you can answer that last question truthfully at least to yourself the flippers know who they are.

I like all the cars I own even my beater work car. I will never be a flipper I buy cars to enjoy, not to make money.

I fail to see what is wrong with flippers or people buying things for the advertised price or close to it to either to part (investing time and energy stripping, advertising, holding cost/time value of $) or invest some $ and sweat equity into the car by fixing some things or improving the appearance and then selling for a profit

I do think that people who take advantage of the old or extremely naive or of limited intellect, and swoop in and convince the owner it's only worth scrap price and then part it for the true known value or sell it for the bundle that they know it's really gonna bring when they are swindling said people who are less fortunate are scum though

I've owned several hundred vehicles since the time I was twelve years of age. Yeah, I've flipped cars, big deal. By the same token, of the nine cars and trucks I have now, the one I've owned the longest is 35 years. If I sell that, did I "flip" it? Of course not. The one I've had the least amount of time is a year. The other seven come to an average ownership time by me of four and a half years. Personally, I could care less if someone "accuses" me of flipping a car. The least time I've owned a car is nine minutes, BTW.

Who cares? Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Make all the dough you can...buy what ya want...and when ya don't want it anymore.....make some $$$$. 5 minutes, or 50 years...it don't matter.
