How many are left?

Was wondering if anyone knows where I can find out how many 1969 lebarons are still on the road? Mostly just trying to find out the true value of my car. Have been building this one for a couple of years and am almost ready to sell it.

Unless you could access a nationwide database for registered vehicles, there is no way to know. how many are left.
 
You might find the numbers for the number of your model built in that model year. Then go from there.

Rarity is not always a good determiner of value. Especially a modified vehicle, as all value guides are normally for OEM-stock vehicles. You know what you spent on "your enjoyment" to get the car to where it now is. You'll need to find a kindred spirit to pay close to that amount, I suspect.

First, awesome car! As for how many left? I'd think a good percentage of what's built are still around, because these weren't cars that teenagers bought back in the day and destroyed. These were intended for people in markets that likely wouldn't do that, or so it would seem? Not many Imperials like mine out there, but for some reason I run into them in shows or see them for sale within 100 miles enough to believe most of them are around.

There's gotta be many of them that rarely come out, or just sit in the garage, or in rural areas that are witnessed by people in small towns.
 
I'd bet not many left. 440 donor vehicles, and bad fuel mileage, absolutely huge in size and weight, hard to get parts, hard to work on. Saw many at the scrap yards back in the day.
 
I like to build cars that are unlike all the rest. I found this one in Florida and when I saw it , I really likes the lines. I said to myself " this one will look good slammed. So I bought it. The entire front clip came off, the entire floor was removed the wheel wells and trunk were removed as well.
Leaf springs were replaced by a one off 4 link system I designed myself. I shaved one end of the torsion bars so they would no longer have torsion and installed bags all around. Not an easy build. No instruction manuel for a unibody modification on this scale. The 440 was rebuilt along with the trans and third member. New brakes all around. Re-chromed the bumpers. All new vacuum lines and wiring. This entire cars systems are operated by vacuum. I have over 300 hours just on the grille and headlight covers grinding, sanding and polishing all the little aluminum fins. Have had alot of fun riding down the highway about 1 inch off the ground at 80 mph. It turns alot of heads and draws alot of thumbs up. Most people ask what kind of car it is and nearly all think it's a Cadillac. Will most likely tear it all apart this winter and paint it and install new custom interior. It's been a mission finding parts. There are no parts for these cars. If you find one in a wrecking yard there's not alot left. Most of these cars went to China as scrap or to the junk heap after the Friday night demolition derbys. Thanks for the interest. I like telling the stories behind all my cars. I build and sell one at a time. And never stop working on them until someone else becomes the owner. Just fun for me.

That is some incredible work by you! My tastes lean toward restored to factory original or mild upgrades but your ride is something I have never seen and is very tastefully done. Also, your skill set must be off the charts to be able to do that kind of work. I'm just a mechanic with no paint, body work or fabrication skills so I really appreciate those who can do it all.
 
Oh yeah, that's my style! Love it. Been building a 68 NY had plans to keep it for my forever car but had my dream car fall into my lap so I'm trying to finish this 68 first to sell it and let someone else do what they want to it!
