Good luck Nick...hope you can save that one....or at least get it back to a point where someone else might take over the reigns and finish restoring it.

A85 isn't a top color

This would have been at my shop already!

What is it Dave, I just ran it through a Generic Decoder. So it is a Real Monaco Convert?

Matt, Money, distance and Time are holding me back, that and being dead if I drag it home.

A85....... The "A" codes were group or combination codes. A85 was 69 only .... front end ornamentation group which consisted of Chrome plated fender caps, horizontal hood molding with individual DODGE letters, delete dodge nameplate from grille.

Nick...... Your a smart guy but these are the excuses of youth and inexperience. Your reasons can all be overcome easily. You let this car pass you by and you'll be kicking yourself in the butt very soon...... Trust me..... Been there.
It shouldn't be that hard to find a place to store it until time to revive it ..... or find a good home for it. I don't see where you will lose out. The expence can be recouped with little effort.

Just buy the car and figure it out as you go..... You seem to be pretty good at that.

But the money thing is the tricky part, that I understand. I started picking up other projects after getting started on my Road Runner and it inevitably slowed the pace on that project.

If you don't have the money, you don't have the money. At any age. Period.
I don't call borrowing the money as having the money.

I can understand passing on a 15K deal cause you don't have the money, I've had to do that and hated it.... but don't regret it.
We're talking $600.00 here...... A young fellow with a good job and a high lever of buy low and sell high, (as Nick has boasted about):poke:, should be able to recoup that in a short time.
Sounds like a lesson in regret is in the air.

I regret not buying the '69 Impala I looked at. Period.

This Mopar thing sucks, No parts availability, Other Bodystyles don't like each other,

Okay, lets be serious for a moment,

Can I flip this car and make my Money back, MAYBE, and I'll be stuck with it for a while, plus I have to PAY to have it appraised, then I can PAY the sales tax so I Can PAY to put it in my name to sell it.

I have Fuel and Trailer rental to go get it, I then will probably have to PAY to store it someplace.

So incase your wondering I've done LOTS of thinking

$54 a day for the trailer, plus $32 for insurance on it
atleast $200 in Fuel
$600 in Vehicle cost
$50 for an appraisal
Plus the 13% of appraised value, which as a #5 car (total rebuild) is $1050, therefore $136.50 in taxes
Plus the $20 for a used vehicle package your forced to buy

Plus whatever costs I'm forgetting

So thats $1092.50 lets say an even $1100

Thats 3 weeks pay plus $50

I currently have a $135.51 insurance payment due and a $43.57 phone bill due, and I had to put $40 in my truck today, you do the math, then understand why I haven't pulled the trigger.

Nick

TRUST ME, IF I HAD THE MONEY AND A PLACE TO KEEP IT, I WOULD HAVE IT, honestly it's killing me that I can't guys, it really is.
