So thats $1092.50 lets say an even $1100
Thats 3 weeks pay plus $50
.
Your turning wrenches for $350.00 +/- a week.....? With your talents..... No wonder your boss loves you.

More than one? You ain't ever going to have the money for a resto....
I regret not buying the '69 Impala I looked at. Period.
This Mopar thing sucks, No parts availability, Other Bodystyles don't like each other,
Okay, lets be serious for a moment,
Can I flip this car and make my Money back, MAYBE, and I'll be stuck with it for a while, plus I have to PAY to have it appraised, then I can PAY the sales tax so I Can PAY to put it in my name to sell it.
I have Fuel and Trailer rental to go get it, I then will probably have to PAY to store it someplace.
So incase your wondering I've done LOTS of thinking
$54 a day for the trailer, plus $32 for insurance on it
atleast $200 in Fuel
$600 in Vehicle cost
$50 for an appraisal
Plus the 13% of appraised value, which as a #5 car (total rebuild) is $1050, therefore $136.50 in taxes
Plus the $20 for a used vehicle package your forced to buy
Plus whatever costs I'm forgetting
So thats $1092.50 lets say an even $1100
Thats 3 weeks pay plus $50
I currently have a $135.51 insurance payment due and a $43.57 phone bill due, and I had to put $40 in my truck today, you do the math, then understand why I haven't pulled the trigger.

TRUST ME, IF I HAD THE MONEY AND A PLACE TO KEEP IT, I WOULD HAVE IT, honestly it's killing me that I can't guys, it really is.

Nick..... With the talent you have displayed already at your age an apprenticeship in auto repair seems like a waste of time to me..... Your way ahead of the curve.... And I can't see you being satified with a career doing brake jobs on the line.
Check around your area for a specialty...custom...fab shop and hone your skills there. There are plenty of line mechanics out there...... Not so many talented metal fab people.
The most sought after and highest paid guy in a NASCAR shop is the body sheet metal fab guy. The mechanics come and go.
FWIW, I'd pass on it. Just my 2 cents, but every time I come across a "a deal of a lifetime" I think about where else I could also use that $600 on my current project, a new interior, some wheels, or tires, the top, paint, on and on. Not to mention the time needed to flip it. My dad used to say, when you see something you didn't know you wanted, take a walk around the block. When you think you've made up your mind, take a walk the other way and keep walking. No truer words were disregarded by me at age 17, and man I'll tell you that's what I regret. I think we've all been there. Ivy is your one true love, and when she is done nothing else will matter. In the next 40 or so years you will have plenty of time, money and space to drag many projects out of the weeds, but you never forget your first love.

No worries, people have enough trouble figuring the Angel as a he, thing, (Angelo)ops: Sorry, Nick I totally renamed your car and changed the gender in my post. Duh!
As for a fabrication shop, I thought about it, but I figure if I do my hobby everyday for 35 years I can see myself hating what I enjoy.
I'd rather do something I do enjoy and leave the other part of it for my personal time.
