I've never seen the point of curb feelers on the DRIVER'S side! They go on the passenger side only!
I'm liking the idea .. will go with the interior and really make it stand out from the crowd at a show or at the local In and Out Burger or wherever you have cruise ins.

Yep, I'll tell them that my Daddy's Daddy ordered the Newport in 1978 when they were both high on Mary Jane. They were so high they named the car Mary Jane and kept it garaged in the Lean Burn Technologies Test Hut and smoked weed in the car every day.

Beautiful car, congratulations! The 78 Newport seats like yours are possibly the most comfortable seats ever put in a car. By the way, you mentioned that the wiper bushing is still good...here's a tip to make it last:
Drill a small hole in the plastic case for a zerk fitting- before putting the zerk fitting on it, spray the inside like crazy with penetrating lube, then insert the fitting and periodically give it squirt of grease. Internal failures of those units was from them being sealed and the grease becoming hard like cement.

Your Newport has the same system as your New Yorker? Hmmm because my T&C is completely different...than my NYB. Make sure its the same before you order... Just saying... to be on the safe side. I dont know why they had to make two different setups... Arrrrgh. Lol
